This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. But a mountain peak would be far away, while the top of the wall is right at
the city.  When the sun is less than 30 degrees above the horizon, the
shadow of a 9 mile wall would be over 15 miles long.  You would have a
shorter day if you lived near the wall.  Real estate values would suffer.
