This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Yeah, when I wrote that I suspected it *might* have been the other way around--but I decided to just go for it. And here's why: The events are so closely connected in time it doesn't really matter. Andrew, I think you and I have discussed before that one wants more evidence than "Well, who else could it be?", but there really are a very limited number of night choughs in the Long/Short Sun story. Even if Silk had not discovered an astral old man in Pike's room, the existence of an astral Oreb would be a strong hint that the Rajan was nearby. J.
