This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I doubt strongly that it will happen this year. If and when I do start
doing the actual work on this, I will be asking for input from people
who have said that they might want to go. There's no reason not to plan
it for the convenience of as many people as possible.

Either or both would be great with me. But first, of course, I would
like to do it one time. If it works, and I don't lose any money, and
I don't see why it shouldn't be an every-so-often event.

Please, if you want to do the same thing doing in Chicago sometime,
I think it would be great. If this is successful, I think that people
will be doing it all over.
